Call to Action - Ending Extreme Poverty, A Road to Peace
This Call to Action was launched by a variety of partners to highlight the growing movement in society to end extreme poverty. Everyone is invited to sign and encourage their family, colleagues, friends to sign too.
Wear the multicoloured campaign ribbon

This ribbon’s slogan reads: “Wherever men and women are condemned to live in extreme poverty human rights are violated. To come together to ensure that these rights be respected is our solemn duty" Joseph Wresinski.
The ribbon signifies the need to create links between people living in extreme poverty and wider society in order to end extreme poverty.
Along with this ribbon, other symbols can be worn. Some might choose to wear it with the whiteband of the Global Call Against Poverty; others might add a souvenir to remind themselves of a loved one; others might wear a badge of an organization that is important to them…
Multiply the number of peaceful rallies, festivals and acts of solidarity to commemorate the World Day to Overcome Extreme Poverty on October 17, 2007
Publicise actions of this social movement, to heighten public awareness and give to as many people as possible the opportunity to find out how they too can become involved.
Tapori Campaign « Listen to us and change the World »

The Tapori Movement is asking children to draw their own life-sized silhouettes and write a message to say how they can help to build a more just world. This campaign is suitable for children from all backgrounds, whether they are living in poverty or not. Exhibitions of these silhouettes throughout 2007 will create opportunities to develop relations in the tackling poverty.
European Solidarity Caravans

Organised by young adults from different social and cultural backgrounds, these caravans are travelling across Europe organising debates, festive and musical activities, walks, concerts, videos, exhibitions etc. To reinforce commitment against extreme poverty, these events will take place in disadvantaged areas as well as in the main public places. They will do their best to reach a wide audience and particularly those facing extreme poverty or exclusion.
