In the city of Geneva and at the United Nations
Amnesty International and ATD Fourth World invite the people of Geneva and of the neighbouring canton of Vaud to participate in several events on the occasion of the next World Day to Overcome Extreme Poverty:
16 October 18h.30 at Uni Mail, room MS150, discussion “A future for all young people?” following the showing of a film “I dream of having a career”. In this film young people describe their efforts to be accepted for training, to become an apprentice, and share their thoughts on what should be done to ensure that no young person remains without a future. Parents tell how they take it upon themselves to support their teenage children and professionals also tell of their experiences. After the film, there will be a discussion which will enable the public to enter into a dialogue with the young people concerned, with the parents and those involved in training. With the support of the City of Geneva.
